Become a Siebel Center or Siebel Coach this Year
Thanks to a generous matching gift from the Tom and Stacey Siebel Foundation, The Siebel Sailors Program is deepening its focus and expanding its impact, with the goal of doubling the number of centers, regions, and coaches. Applications are now open for sailing centers and coaches to get involved with this innovative program. They can be found on the US Sailing Website. It is anticipated that new Centers will come online in 2023. Center applications are due by April 1, 2022, and coach applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.

West Marine US Open Series Florida Tour Culminates in Clearwater this WeekendThe last stop on the West Marine US Open Sailing Series Florida tour begins this week, February 4 through February 6, in Clearwater, Florida. Hosted by Clearwater Yacht Club, Clearwater Community Sailing Center, Sail Life, LLC, City of Clearwater & presented by Baystar Restaurant Group, the Clearwater event features the ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Nacra 15, iQFoil, and Formula Kite classes. Stakes are high at this year’s Clearwater US Open event. It is the only Youth Worlds qualifier in the Nacra 15, and the first of two Youth Worlds qualifiers for the ILCA 6 and iQFoil. Nine Nacra 15 sailors will go head-to-head in their one chance to represent the USA at 2022 Youth Worlds in the Netherlands.

Apply for the David Storrs Match Racing Grant Program!The US Sailing Match Racing Committee is thrilled to offer a competitive grant program for selected teams interested in match racing in the U.S. at a high level. The program provides reimbursement up to $5,000 per team to pay for expenses such as entry fees, travel expenses and lodging for one full calendar year. In addition, the grant program provides a mentor who will be available as needed to share veteran advice to ensure a successful match racing campaign. Anyone ages 19-29 with a vested interest in match racing should apply. One male skipper and one female skipper will be selected. Applications close March 15th, so apply today!
